Chelan City HallChelan, Washington A 13,000 square foot, one story, exterior and interior remodel and expansion of an adjacent Police Station, Fire Station, Library and City Hall. The new complex includes a courtroom, council chambers, mayor's office with support areas, city departments and an entry gallery. The architectural character is inspired by the existing buildings surrounding the site.

Combining a second floor office area to an existing 135,000 square foot manufacturing and corporate office facility. Requirements included design of a more prominent entry and enlarged reception area with adjacent conference rooms, while allowing the continued use of the first floor offices during construction.

Juniper MeadowsIssaquah, Washington Two story, 13,410 square foot office building designed for a partnership whose core business is pre-manufactured metal buildings. The project utilized the pre-manufactured metal frame with concrete panel exterior walls. The design reflects the region's frontier and agricultural vernacular, while maintaining consistency with Issaquah's comprehensive plan for the downtown business corridor. It received The Association of Building Contractors "1998 Excellence in Design" Award.

The project consisted of a 16,000 square foot warehouse and shop building and a 7,400 square foot two-story corporate office. The client required the simplicity and cost effectiveness of a metal building while retaining the ambience of a unique and creative office space.

Terra Dynamics, Inc. Algona, Washington New corporate office, maintenance and storage facilities located on a three and a half acre site. The office, which is sited to take advantage of views of Mt. Rainer, features exposed heavy timber framing, vaulted ceilings and a two story water feature in the lobby.

Waterworks BuildingEdmonds, Washington Construction of a 49,000 square foot commercial office building in downtown Edmonds, WA. The building includes two stories of offices over a secure underground parking garage. The steel structure, diagonal bracing and metal paneling blend with the waterfront vernacular. The building was designed to take maximum advantage of the Puget Sound views.

Swiftwater CellarsCle Elum, Washington The building is set into the hillside at Suncadia's resort adjacent to the historic No. 9 coal mine. The design intent was to resemble the tipple buildings found at the old coal mines. The exterior walls are concrete cast on wood forms and stained to appear as wood framed walls. The upper structure is framed with heavy timber trusses and timber decking roofing. The main floor contains a crush pad for winemaking, a restaurant with full bar, a tasting room, a museum that pays tribute to the coal mines of the area and also a golf pro shop. The upper floor of the building houses meeting rooms and offices.

Cafe Buono Espresso Lynnwood, Washington This retail kiosk, which sits nestled in a tall stand of Douglas Firs, has a heavy timber frame construction which makes this coffee house resemble an old mountain fire lookout structure. The height of the building is used to draw attention to the structure as it sits below road level.

The building's exterior was restored to its original 1920's era design after decades of remodeling. Manson ResidenceManson, Washington This home was designed to be ensconced on a steep hillside midway between the County road and the Lake Chelan shoreline. The three levels begin at the upper with garage, entry, office loft (above living space below) and master suite; guest rooms, kitchen, dining, interior and exterior living spaces, disappearing edge swim pool, spa and dining terrace) in the middle level; additional guest rooms, game room and lake access at the lowest level. The NW contemporary structure uses a gable roof with deep eaves for shade and a shed roof for more view exposure of Lake Chelan and mountains to the west.

The home blends the vernacular of the adjacent stately Queen Anne residences, with a modern interpretation.
